On 1 October 2026, we had the opportunity to present the SHADE project at the interdisciplinary Autumn Symposium of the Leukerbad Clinic. The presentation demonstrated how current research findings are being translated into practical exercise programmes designed to prevent hospital-associated disability in older adults. The event provided a valuable platform for exchange between rehabilitation, medicine and primary care.
